Purpose-built student accommodation and short-stay accommodation project that gained planning approval.

Challenge: The project required internal daylight advice and support through the formal pre-application process with Glasgow City Council.


D&L Input: Development & Light led internal daylight work, including direct discussions and workshops with Glasgow City Council and iterative Spatial Daylight Autonomy testing.


Outcome: The SDA testing helped ensure natural lighting within the scheme adhered to BRE daylighting guidance BR209.
