Twelve-storey student building comprising studios, cluster flats and associated amenities, supported through planning consent.

Challenge: The design team needed to optimise habitable rooms from a daylighting standpoint.


D&L Input: Development & Light acted as daylight and sunlight consultant, using innovative Spatial Daylight Autonomy testing in MBS software directly from the architect’s Revit model.


Outcome: The approach enabled a fluid iterative testing process at a low cost base for the client and supported planning consent.
